Project Summary
Designed by Lockheed Martin, the Space Fence system intends to improve the way the US Air Force identifies and tracks objects in space. Using S-band radar, it will be able to track a larger number of small objects than previous space radars, and has data-sharing agreements with at least seven countries and 44 companies. Our team has made the two-day long trip out to Kwajalein Atoll three times to ensure functionality.
