Production is never too urgent to take the time to do our work safely
GTI takes the safety of its employees and customers very seriously. Safety measures and rules are in place for the protection of everyone, and are the first consideration in operating our business.
Our Field Technicians and Engineers follow the GTI Health & Safety Program, which includes general rules as well as specialized safety programs all of which are vital components to keeping GTI a safe and healthy place to work.
GTI Safety Programs
Once hired, all of our Field Technicians, Engineers, and Supervisors must attend the following mandatory GTI safety programs:
Discrimination & Sexual Harassment Program
Energized Equipment Program
Safe Work Practices Program
PPE Program
Drug & Alcohol Awareness Program
Drug & Alcohol Testing Program
Vehicle Safety Program
Toolbox/Tailgate Safety Meetings
GTI requires daily toolbox/tailgate safety meetings on every job site. This allows for the review of potential hazards and working conditions specific to the site, and acknowledges any issues that might arise that need to be avoided or mitigated. These safety meetings are signed by the Project Lead, turned in with the project paperwork, and kept on file.
Job Hazard Analysis
Much like the Toolbox Safety meetings, a Job Hazard Analysis is critical to maintaining the safety of our employees and our customers throughout any project. As requested by our customers, we will complete the JHA once we are on site, and will continually communicate with the site safety contact issues regarding site safety and potential hazards.
